The Town of Franklin formally recognized Saumy Jani and Andrew Bairos for their volunteer service and their work building SNND Events as a student-run business. The proclamation was a public milestone, but it was really about the years of smaller moments that came before it.
SNND began with the founders volunteering as DJs at local programs, including events at the Franklin Public Library. From there, the work expanded into schools, youth sports, cultural celebrations, nonprofit programs, and town events. The founders kept taking on more responsibility while learning how to run a real company around school and other commitments.
The town's recognition connected both sides of that story. It acknowledged entrepreneurship, but not as a separate goal from community service. SNND had built a working business while continuing to donate time, offer reduced-rate support, and help local organizations manage events with limited resources.
For the founders, the proclamation was meaningful because it confirmed that consistent local work had been noticed. It was not an award for one successful night or one impressive number. It reflected trust built through repeated service.
The recognition also sent a wider message: young people can take on real public responsibility when they are given the chance and are willing to follow through. SNND's next chapter still depends on the same thing that started it, showing up prepared and doing work the community can rely on.
