SNND Events did not begin with a full business plan or a long list of services. It began with two students, Saumy "Sam" Jani and Andrew "Andy" Bairos, working together as DJs and helping at local programs. They brought the music, set up the speakers, and learned quickly that a good event needed much more than a playlist. Someone had to communicate with the organizer, think through the space, manage the timing, solve problems, and make sure the day kept moving.
That need shaped what SNND became. The name SNND come from a portmanteau (albeit a bit of a stretch) of Sam and Andy: Sam + Andy = SAMANDY, SNDY, SNND. Over time, the work grew from basic DJ support into live event production, logistical planning, photography, videography, and event technology. The change was not about adding services just to look bigger. Each new part came from something the team had seen firsthand at schools, libraries, town programs, sports events, and nonprofit gatherings.
The most important part of SNND's growth is the trust behind it. Two students went from helping with individual events to building an organization that local groups could call when they needed a reliable team. SNND grew because the founders kept showing up, paying attention, and building around real community needs. What started with two DJs became a practical local resource, and that foundation still shapes how the company works today.
